Is Phu Quoc airport open while runway 1 is upgraded?

Yes: since 29 October 2026 all flights use the new 3,300 m runway 2, while runway 1 closes for about six months to be extended to 3,500 m. The winter 2026/27 schedule runs as normal. Runway 1 and the new T2 terminal are due to open in May 2027. Illustration: Phu Quoc Pulse.
